Plot: The show features a score in the classic musical comedy style. Set in 1959, CURTAINS opens with Hollywood diva Jessica Cranshaw preparing to make her Broadway debut in "Robbin’ Hood," a new musical by the acclaimed songwriting team of Aaron Fox and Georgia Hendricks.
Lead producer Carmen Bernstein, her husband Sidney, and their top financial backer Oscar Shapiro are counting on the show to be a hit. They even have celebrated director Christopher Belling and world-renowned choreographer Randy Dexter helming the production.
On the opening night of the show’s Boston tryout run, however, Miss Cranshaw drops dead during the final bows and the entire company finds itself under investigation for her murder. Could ingénue Niki, dashing leading man Bobby, or lead dancer Bambi be the culprit? Lieutenant Frank Cioffi is determined to find out – and uses his knowledge and love of musical theatre replacing the show’s star and readying it for its move to the Great White Way.
