  Fall 2010

November 18, 19, 20

Thursday at 7pm

Friday at 7pm

Saturday at 1pm and 7pm

Plot:

Our troupe of actors perform the Bard’s entire canon of 37 plays (and 154 sonnets!) in two lightning-paced hours of comedic fun. The play condenses all of Shakespeare’s works into short scenes of various styles – "Titus Andronicus" is a cooking show, "Othello" is performed as a rap – presented in two acts.

The show had its premiere at the Criterion Theater in London in 1992 and ran for nine years. It premiered off-Broadway in 1991 and was revived in 1995 and 2001.

In an unusual twist, each performance of "Complete Works" will feature a slightly different cast. Each of the roles has been filled with two performers and a different cast will appear at each of the four performances. Improvisation is an important element of the show and each performance promises to be a new experience for audience members.

In describing the show, "The Today Show" review stated, "If you like Shakespeare, you’ll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you’ll love this show!"
